This is the fourth webinar from the SHEFF-Yield series that aims to teach Sheffield how and why to grow your own food at home.
Professor Tony Ryan OBE – Director of the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures
Dr Moaed Al Meselmani – Researcher in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, The University of Sheffield
In collaboration with the UNHCR more than 1,000 refugees have been trained in hydroponic techniques. Initially one our speakers, Dr Moaed Al Meselmani, did the training. But now refugee trainers do so, making the diffusion of knowledge self-sustaining.
Now you can join Tony and Moaed as they explain their work at Zaatari, including hydroponics and the Desert Garden appeal.
If you want more information about the event and FREE tickets, follow the Eventbrite link below. And if you want to know more about Grantham Centre work at Zaatari, have a look at our special project page.
