Sheffield Air Symposium 2019 looks at policy and decision making in our cities. It is is organised by us, the Urban Flows Observatory and the Urban Institute.

Join us for an afternoon of talks from leading researchers, academics and policy makers in air quality. We will be providing a platform to bridge disciplinary gaps through dialogue and exchange.

Urban Flows, together with the Urban Institute and The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures are collaborating on the University of Sheffield’s first symposium dedicated to understanding more about air quality and the ways we can influence policy and decision making in our cities.

The programme will include a series of presentations and discussions from:

  • PhD students & early career researchers
  • Policymakers from Sheffield City Council
  • Leading companies demonstrating their innovative air quality sensors and products
  • Citizen science and crowd sensing projects
  • Networking opportunities and one to one discussions with academics, policy makers and industry

Lunch and refreshments will be provided from 12:30pm in the MindSphere Lounge located on the ground floor in The Diamond.
