Solomon Brown is part of our Management Group and a Grantham Scholar supervisor.
I graduated from King’s College London in 2007 with an MSci (Hons) in Mathematics. I completed a PhD from UCL in 2011 on the modelling of fluid flow and ductile fractures, in the course of which I was a co-recipient of the IChemE Frank Lees Medal for my collaborative work with the HSE on CO2 pipelines safety.
I took up a research associate followed by a Teaching Fellowship at UCL, during which I participated in a number of projects sponsored by the EC, EPSRC, UKCCSRC and Industry.
In December 2015 I joined the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield as a Lecturer.
Our Scholars work on projects which will help the world reach the targets set out in the SDGs. Supervised by academics from across academic disciplines, the Scholars also have the benefit of expertise from business and policy experts.
