Professor Guy Poppy is Chief Scientific Adviser to the Food Standards Agency and a Professor of Ecology in the Centre for Biological Sciences at the University of Southampton. He has a BSc in biology from Imperial College London and PhD in chemical ecology from the University of Oxford, before joining IACR Rothamsted as a scientific officer.
At the University of Southampton he has been Head of the Biodiversity and Ecology Division, Head of Biological Sciences and Director of Multidisciplinary Research.
