Can putting a price on nature help or hinder its conservation?

Modern methods of conservation involve putting a price tag on nature and the services it provides to us. But is this the only way to conserve nature in a modern and material world, or is it the first step towards its exploitation and destruction?

The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures, Sheffield Institute for International Development and the University of Sheffield’s Green Economy Network are hosting a seminar event in which four experts will be sharing with the public the latest thinking on one of the biggest and most relevant questions in the conservation of nature.
