About the speakers
Sheffield Renewables is a social enterprise that funds, develops, owns and operates renewable energy schemes here in Sheffield. They aim to not only improve environmental sustainability through their scheme, but also to develop a sense of community by working together to achieve common goals.
SolarAid is an international charity that is working to combat poverty and climate change within African communities. The charity owns the social enterprise ‘Sunnymoney’ which is the largest seller of solar lights in Africa. By working with communities to install solar lighting, the charity provides an environmentally sustainable source of lighting, as well as improving health, and aiding in overall community development.
